SSP Ganderbal reviews security arrangements ahead of Muharram | KNO

Ganderbal, Jun 26 (KNO): In view of the upcoming holy month of Muharram-ul-Haram 2025, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal, Khalil Ahmed Poswal on Thursday visited Dab area to assess and review the security arrangements in place. During his visit, SSP Poswal evaluated the preparedness of local police units and other security agencies to ensure the peaceful and smooth conduct of Muharram-related events. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), he interacted with community representatives and highlighted the importance of maintaining communal harmony and fostering coordination between law enforcement and the public during the religious processions. He instructed officers to stay vigilant and enhance patrolling in sensitive and vulnerable areas. SSP Poswal also underscored the need for proactive engagement with local committees and volunteers to strengthen security measures and promote a peaceful atmosphere throughout the observance period—(KNO)
